Huawei Signs a Cooperation Protocol with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation to Integrate its Modern Digital Technologies and Solutions into the Oil and Gas Sector.
Huawei, a leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, has signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) to integrate its advanced digital technologies and solutions into the oil and gas sector.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Mr. Josh Zhao, Managing Director of Energy Business Unit at Huawei Egypt, and Mr. Alaa El-Batal, CEO of EGPC, in the presence of various leaders from both companies.
The collaboration will enable the corporation to achieve its goals and provide the latest smart solutions and technologies that will digitize its sectors through Huawei’s solutions that comply with global standards for digital transformation.
This agreement aligns with Huawei’s strategy to support the digital transformation of the sector, in line with Egypt’s Digital Transformation 2030 strategy. The cooperation protocol was signed during Huawei’s fourth consecutive participation in the Egypt Energy Show “EGYPES 2024” under the theme of “Unlocking the Energy Sustainability and Data Integrity.”
